Another Occasion

And this time I have the date right. Guy Fawkes Night November 5th.

Hope my friends in England, etc. (I think it's the UK this time) are looking forward to the bonfires and fireworks of Guy Fawkes Night.

Or possibly dreading it if bonfires and fireworks aren't your thing.

For everyone else, have a doughnut.

Darn. I knew I should have bought that dozen Krispy Kreme that was calling out to me this morning! Instead I was diet-conscious and left them on the shelf, not knowing it was doughnut day. *sigh* What a loss.

Just the other day I was reading the history behind Guy Fawkes and found it quite fascinating! I, too, wish our English friends a fun night!!

Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.

Should ever be forgot...

I'll opt for the doughnut. Guy Fawkes was the good guy seen from Spain.

Bald Man spent two years in England for his mission, so Guy Fawkes day has a special place in his heart. How in heaven's name he remembers what happened almost 3 decades ago, without remembering what we need at the store is beyond me! Prayers for Ray and your family.

We used to do Guy Fawkes night when I was a kid, but it kind of fizzled out when they banned fireworks in this state. No fun anymore. The only fireworks we ever see are those done by professionals ... what a shame !!
Have a wonderful week.
Take care, Meow
