WOW - Thanks Dutch!!!

This from Blogging Baby today. To anyone who doesn't already know, J. D. Griffioen is Dutch of Sweet Juniper fame. Their comments have been closed for the last couple of days (for repairs?) and I just now checked back in to see what was happening. Well, this among other things. The bold-face and italics are mine, not his; after all, how often does this happen? I get to brag a little.

Best of Blogs nomination process opened!

With all of the last-minute shopping and holiday cheer, the opening of nominations for the Best of Blogs competition nearly slipped past us. These particular blog awards are very parenting blog friendly, with categories for (among others):

(They must not have created a best great-grandmother blog category because Ann Adams wouldn’t even let it be competitive). But good news for all for you parent bloggers out there, dooce isn’t eligible to dominate all contenders like Mike Tyson did before he fought Buster Douglas. So it’s a chance for the less popular kids to slug it out without dooce biting off their ears. The website says, “Consider casting nominations for lesser-known blogs, instead of offering ‘obvious’ picks. While we do not wish to hold a blog’s popularity against it, we also want to keep the focus of this contest on blogs that could benefit from additional traffic. If a blog’s traffic exceeds several thousand unique visitors a day, we will likely not approve it as a finalist.”
