Nothing New

Today was crazy and I never did make it to the hospital. First taking my son to work (with two of the girls) then to grocers. I planned to take them home, do a few chores, and then head for the hospital.

Then my friend showed up to take them to lake so made the round trip out there. Came homd with plan to lie down for an hour and go to hospital before I picked them up. Wrong. They were ready to come home much earlier than planned.

We came home to a power failure and a very warm house. Must have been a transformer and PG&E (electric company) said it would be a while. We were getting hungry and a bit crabby so I took them all for pizza. By the time I got back, the lights were back on but it was really too late for the hospital even though they would have let me in. I'll get there tomorrow.

Fortunately Ray understands the constant juggling act but it wasn't much of an anniversary for either of us. We'll make up for it.

The girls loved the pizza trip. They've been asking for a while. We brought much of it home with us as usual. It'll be gone by tomorrow.

Now I'm just checking in briefly before I fall asleep sitting here.

Take care everyone.

Well, Happy Anniversary regardless. It is what you make of it. You can celebrate when you both feel up to it. Here's hoping that this next time Ray comes home it'll be for good! Wouldn't that be a nice anniversary gift?

Hello Ann ~~ Sorry you had a power failure. That can be so annoying. At least the girls got their pizza. I hope Ray is doing better when you get to see him tonorrow. If the infection is the one he had before, they should have a record of how to beat it. I hope it wont be 3 weeks this time. Look after yourself Ann. Take care, Merle.

Sounded like another busy day for you and the power failure certainly didn't help:-( No doubt Ray understands you not being able to visit him...there's always another time to celebrate your anniversary! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Ann, hope you're sleeping as I type. That was quite the 'everything is not going according to plan' day. So far. Good thing that Ray is understanding so that you don't have that pressure to make sure you give him 'equal' amount of attention (there are those men for sure, or women). I hope he'll be better enough to come home soon. Happy anniversary anyway Ann,
hugs
Ingrid

well hugs to you and make sure you give Ray and extra hug from me. Never met him but I feel like I know him.
Tell the girls to learn how to fold Japanese paper cranes. In Japan, when people are in the hospital, the family and friends fold one thousand paper cranes and hang them as a bunch as a symbol of good luck. I made one thousand of them for my mom when she came down with cancer. She still has them hanging in her window.

Quite the wild day you had there and you got a lot done, just not all you wanted. Do you think those girls will eat the pizza for breakfast? If you fall asleep typing, try not to hit your head on the keyboard. ec

July 3rd 1993 is our anniversary. Hope your next one is much happier than this one. :) As for Ray thinking he could drive himself to the hospital when he was sick, I kind of understand that. In the final stages of labor with Maya, I would have glady run downstairs to hop in a taxi and go home if I thought they would let me. I wanted to do whatever would help, and reason and logis were far away from my addled brain. ;)

Hope you get some much needed rest. That pizza sounds so good! It wouldn't last long in my house either. My email is working I just didn't have the Gmail notifier in my taskbar tonight so I didn't know I had mail. Andrea's idea sounds like fun.
