I Am Sick at Heart

I've been glued to CNN since early this morning. In the worst school shooting in this country's history, 32 (and counting) are dead and at least 29 wounded at Virginia Tech. I still can't take it in.

Please join me with your thoughts and prayers for the students, faculty, and their families. I can't begin to imagine their pain and horror.

I'm sure all of us will want to give our kids an extra hug today.

I just got off the phone with my mom who told me. I hadn't heard about this as I don't watch the news because it always seem to be bad.
I'm praying for everyone. I have to go read up on the story for myself maybe later on tonight.

It immediately brought back memories of the Westside school shootings in Jonesboro some years back.

God help us all and may He comfort the grieving families and friends.

A tragic waste of young lives Ann.

I heard about it this morning on my kitchen radio. It's bizarre to be cooking lunch, such a normal, everyday thing, while hearing about something so abnormal and wrong.

I join you in the experiencing the horror of what happened at Virginia Tech. As the names and pictures of the victims appear on CNN, my own pain for them and their families and friends becomes more real. I also join you in prayers for all.

I found out about this from my mom-in-law. Haven't been watching news because of work on the house.

It's so hard to fathom. I can't stop thinking about the families. I'm thrilled that I'm ABLE to give my kids an extra hug. Thanks for the reminder.

P.S. I really like seing the pics of Rochelle (who looks like she'd rather be doing anything else - I feel the same when I have my pic taken), Rebecca (who looks like she's happy to pose for the camera - she should be!), and Elcie (who's bright eyes and smile make me smile)!

Hi Ann,

I was watching the news this morning it's absolutely horrid, I can't understand why that young man would do such a thing. He had to do it very cold bloodily to shot earlier, then go back to his room reload then cross the camus and kill some more. It just makes me sick at heart.

My heart and prayers go out to these young people and there families.

Good luck with the Parenting award
you deserve it. So sorry to hear how Carol is doing, with pain or lots of
medication. Prayers for her and for you. Glad the girls seem to be having lots of fun, which is how it should be. I had a lovely week away, but glad to be back. Take care, my friend
Love, Merle.

Every time I hear something about this tragedy, it's made me feel totally sick to my stomach.

And now it's coming out how twisted this guy is and how the people on campus are now not surprised that it was him.

If I were a parent of a student at VT I would be so furious that this wasn't prevented since this guy sent up red flags all over the place.
