Here's an email I sent out to everyone who has written lately and who included their email address. My friends have dialup and I didn't have time to go back and look up addresses for the others so am thanking all of you and updating here:]]Apologies for form letter. You'll understand why. I'll write more when I have time (or my own computer).
Form letter:
My computer is packed away and stored. I'm using
a friend's to catch up.
We're okay - just frantically trying to
find a place to live.
I've talked to the girls twice.
More
when I have more time. Househunting this
afternoon.
Hugs,
Ann
Briefly, the landlord told us we had to be out immediately and I called friends and sent my appliances, vital papers, and the computer to a friends house for safekeeping. We started frantically storing as much as we could.
By that afternoon, he's backtracked but by then it was too late. We're getting by, still packing, and will try to be out of there as soon as possible.
A Social Worker came by and said if he pulled something like that again, to call her cell phone. She was livid..
Anyhow, I've talked to the girls twice now. I won't try to see them until things are more settled. They're doing well but still not back in school which bewilders me.
I don't want to put much else out here (again to protect the girls) but I'm emailing back and forth to many of you and talking to some by phone.
Thanks to everyone. I'm totally amazed at the support. I'll be back online whenever possible but don't know when that will be. We started yesterday to send my computer back home and then decided against it.
Ray is doing okay still and I'm hanging in although for once I think he's doing better than I.
Thanks heavens for all of you and for the local friends who have rushed to help.
Have a good weekend and take care everyone. Hugs to all of you.
Ann

Good grief! Talk about adding insult to injury! I'm praying that you'll find a better place to live for the same or less rent, and that God will deal with that jerk of a landlord and he gets exactly what he deserves - no more, no less.
Hang in there, Ann.
Love you,
Diane
Why are the girls not in school?
I can't believe your landlord pulled such a ridiculous stunt! Well, I can, but still...
I hope you find a place soon. I wish I was closer and able to help.
I don't know how you can do without your computer...LOL.. I'm so addicted to mine. I do hope that things work out quickly and you're soon past this rough patch. Love-n-hugs!!
Blessings, Ann! You all remain in my prayers.
*hugs* I hope things settle down for you soon, so you can do what you need to for yourself and your family. Glad to hear Ray is still ok, and that you're hanging in there. I am hoping it won't take too long to find the house with your name on it, so you will have one less thing to worry about. Hopefully the new week will be kinder to you.
Good to hear from you!
Take care, still thinking of you all.
De-lurking to let you know I'm sending good vibes your way.
Hi Granny!
So glad to hear from you! We are all rooting for you. It was so nice to hear your voice the other day. Hope you enjoyed DJ screaming in your ear (sorry about that) :)
Ann, I think about you every day. I wish I were closer so I could do whatever I can to help you. If there is anything at all that you ever need, please let me know.
Cheers,
Josie
Hi Ann,nice to hear that your friends have rallied around you Ann but I'm not at all surprised by that.
Stay strong, things will work out.
Hi Dear Ann ~~ Great to see this post and know that you are coping all right. So glad some of your friends and neighbors are able to help a bit. That landlord should have the house bull-dozed once you move out. Hope you find something soon. Glad you have spoken to the girls twice, but they should be in school - after all the things you bought to set them up, and their lives would be more normal with school. Love and prayers for you dear friend, always, Merle.
Glad Ray is doing well.
you're always in my thoughts Ann. I will try and call you again when things have settled down. big hugs to you.
Dear Ann ~~ I was given an Inspirational award a week or so ago and have to pass it on to 5 others.
So I am happy to pass this on to you.
It is a busy time for you at present, but you are a real inspiration to many of us. Much love, Merle.
Wow, Ann, don't have a clue what to say...other than I hope that landlord ROTS IN HELL!
Sending you love & best wishes, Val
Ann,
It's good to hear something from you- am hoping things work out ok for you all.

Hi Ann
I came from Merle's blog.
Please take care.
Be strong.
Praying for you...
God bless.
Ann, if your landlord was such a jerk, then it is best to be out of his property anyway.
I wish I lived closer so I could help!
The last few months have been a trying winter for you indeed, my friend.
Prayers coming your way...
Good luck to all of you. Those kids are lucky to have you on their side.
I just cannot believe that miserable so and so of a landlord. He needs a good kick up the rear.
I can't understand why the girls aren't in school either, sounds like there's wires crossed somewhere...taking them out of an environment where they had all they needed and putting them somewhere where their schooling is left to go to pot.
Anyway, Ann, my thoughts, prayers and love are with you, Ray and the girls. I hope for all your sakes it is sorted soon.
Hugs to you all xoxo
I hope all continues to go well for you!
Take care!!
(((big hugs)))
Best of luck.
Just want to let you know that you and your family are in my prayers. I hope everything gets resolved quickly for you.
Hugs,
Carmen
Hi Ann,
That rat of a landlords needs to be the one actually living in one of his appartments, then we'd see how fast things get done!
Good luck with the house hunting, and I hope things look up for you soon,
Your in my prayers,
Janice~
Best wishes for better times and stay strong. You deserve better.
That landlord sounds like a real turd.
Hope everything goes well for you!
Gran,
I just came over, I was out of town and I missed this last weeks posts.
Good to know you are in good spirits and coping well. You are very loved and I am also happy that local friends have been able to help out.
I didn't know you had landlord troubles. It sounds like a mixed blessing, and hope you find a new place soon.
If there is anything I can do....at all, even seemingly mundane, please let me know!! I'm praying for you, Ray and the girls.
You know that we love you! Keep hanging in there. I can't believe the landlord pulled that.
*hugs*
Can't wait for you to get back on line... we're missing you!!
