Show Yourselves Please (Figuratively I Mean)
It doesn't seem to have received much notice this year but I was just informed by my friend Chris over at Rude Cactus (the same one who's so attached to Haiku) that tomorrow is Delurking Day. He would like to not be the only one participating. Usually it's well publicized - I don't know why this year was such a well kept secret.
What's that, you may ask? It's a request to those of you who read but don't leave comments to drop by and say hi. Tell me a little about yourselves if you wish.
Or you can just ignore it and keep on lurking. I read several blogs without ever leaving a comment. That makes me a sometimes lurker too.
I've done Delurking for the last couple of years and met some very nice people that way. I know from my site meter I have visitors I've never met.
Hope to meet a few of you tomorrow or the next day or the next. There's not really a time limit.

Hi, Ann! :-)
I'm playing the DeLurking game tomorrow, too...
Hi Ann,
Hope you get to meet some new visitors. This is a good way for "shy" ones to leave a comment.
xo
I have a lot of lurkers. I do wish they would delurk and at least leave a comment one time. I have several from the local area that read (I can tell by my Sitemeter) and I'm just curious who they might be.
Hope you're feeling better, Ann.
Love and hugs,
Diane
oh, thanks for putting this up. it's already the tenth here, so i'll put something up now. i just wish i could get the image...(i still don't know how to use my macbook well.)
I admit I lurk. I read almost 100 blogs and if I comment on each one every time they update I would have to quit my full time job and never eat or sleep lol.
i am always here!!
I'm in Autumn's boat - I read too many to be able to (thoughtfully) comment on most, which turns into any for this perfectionist gal.
Short blurb - formerly of the Bay Area in CA, work with kids, getting ready to move to FL this year, read a ton and love hearing about your lefty views, as they often dovetail with mine (further lefty ones) but just as often diverge in interesting ways that get me thinking.
Gran,
It's so good to read you again! I always miss Delurking Day every year.
I sometimes lurk, but RSS makes that possible. :)
Hi Granny -
I've been quite the lurker lately (although I did comment a couple posts ago), everywhere I blog. Hope things are going well. I miss our crash courses in blogging (they used to be so common!).
I'm still here and reading, just been kind of busy in the offline world.
Hi Ann
No, I'm not a lurker. I'll leave a comment, even if it's only to say hi. But, for some reason or other, there are others who don't wish to leave messages. Not a problem, but think of all the friends they're missing out on!
Hope all is well with you and Ray.
Hi Ann,
I don't think of it as lurking - although I do tend to leave a message or comment on most blogs I visit. I look on it as seeing life from another view point.
Take care.
Delurking, well I am Michael from the UK, Im 38 years old and have been sober 15 1/2 years though 12 of them were the first twelve years of my life, so I guess the majority of my life has been spent off my head but the preportion continues to diminish, touch wood.
I work at a large company making Bricks and far back in 1990 I obtained a Physics Degree which sent me nuts.
I am still single but I think I have fallen in love with a girl at my AA meeting, I usually blog in my dinner hour at work.
Hiya! Happy delurking day.
While I am not a lurker, I don't think I've commented lately. So here it is ... delurk, delurk, comment, comment.
Hi!! I'm not a lurker, but wanted to say hi. By the way, did you ever get mail from me??
I'm delurking. Love ya Granny!
Happy Delurking Day!
Ann I almost always leave a comment when I visit a blog because I truly love it when someone leaves one on my blog ;)

I have been reading for a while and I cannot remember if I have ever commented before. Keep up the good work.
Ok. I am going to become a non lurker. I just found your blog a few days ago.
I'm here. Lurking away!
Happy New Year!
I heard the whole week is Delurker Week! Do you think I have time to put it on my blog? Do you think my blog is even worthy of lurkers?????
Delurking here. I think I have been reading here for over a year now. I am a mom to three kids and live in Las Vegas. I always enjoy reading here. Ok back to lurkdom now. Chrissy
Hi Gran,
Just stopped by to say 'hello' again, delurking day or not. Interesting read about the spam business. Have you ever noticed your junk e-mails cut down by half on the weekends? That's because workers often don't shut down their systems during the week so they get used by spammers in serial mode.
Take care.
Happy (day after) Delurking Day.
Greetings from TX; I'm glad ya'll are feeling better...
Hi Granny!
Well, you already know, I'm not a lurker :)
Even though we don't chat everyday, you know I really appreciate you!
We met through Blogging baby. You were one of the first people I met through that site and I'm very grateful for our bloggy-friendship!
Thank you for all those emails of support especially when I couldn't sleep during my husband's deployments.
As you can see, my sleep patterns are the same! *sigh*
Have a great weekend :)
Hi Ann...You know it might be fun to have a site meter just to see if I have any lurkers...I'd say probably not.
I used to have lurkers too. I too am guilty of being a lurker at times but not that I don't want to comment but at times I can't relate to the post so it won't make any use on my posting. Now at least a Hi! would be okay.
I think lurking is okay. It's fun to read folks' blogs, and we don't always feel comfortable commenting. The important thing is that we read them. I don't think reading a blog us lurking. Reading is reading. There are so many wonderful blogs out there.
Yours is definitely one of them!!!!
Cheers,
Josie
hi! hi! hi! i am still here, too!
I only lurk when I haven't a clue what they are talking about. Otherwise I like to put my ten cents in. You may have noticed:)
Ann,
I really enjoy your blog and wish you the best of everything! You are an inspiration to me. I don't consider myself lurking... I'm just getting to know a fascinating woman!
Hi Ann,
I'm not a lurker but blogger is turning me into one because it wont let me post a comment :(
Janice~
Good Morning Granny,
I'm just dropping by to see how you and Ray are doing. Hope yall are feeling much better. I'm not lurking today. I do visit each one on my blogroll each day to see if they have posted or not. Hope it has warmed up in your area as well. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
Hi Ann, I seem to have all my problems solved now "touch wood" and can once more enjoy the world of blogging.
Cheers and hugs Margaret
Sorry I got here late. It's me, Anastasia Beaverhausen, from Fort Worth, Texas.
wow! you have a lot of lurkers! then there are those of us who are half-time lurkers. XO, Granny-no-fiddle.
Hey there....I have never participated in De-Lurking Day....In truth, there are very few blogs that I visit that I DON'T leave a comment on....And it is always a pleasure to come here, My Dear...!
So food to hear from you again - thanks for your comment!
I can't believe I missed delurking day!!!
Hope you're well!

baraka
