Or whatever greeting of the season you prefer.
Here's a link to a card my local buddy Janet sent to me. It's adorable.
Merry Christmas
All is well here. Ray chugs along and so do I. I'll be cooking a simple Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve for Tim and his partner who will be coming in from Fresno. As far as I know, the girls will be joining us for dessert, eggnog (and presents), and then spend Christmas Day with their honorary grandparents down the road. Extended families can become rather confusing but they'll have a good Christmas however it works out. Hard to believe they're all teens.
We're having long overdue rain off and on this week along with what, for us, is cold weather. We've hit freezing a couple of nights. I shouldn't complain though when I look at what most of this country and Canada are dealing with. My friends in Australia should be enjoying summer.
Warning - Once again I'm assaulting your ears with classical music for Christmas.
Have a wonderful holiday and, if I don't get back before then, a blessed New Year.

Merry Christmas, Ann, so glad to hear you are all doing well.
May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through! Merry Christmas to you and yours, dear Ann! xoxo
Dear Ann. A merry Christmas to you and Ray, also. May you have all the peace and happiness you wish for in 2009.
Hugs from Australia...where it's overcast and humid today...but still nice.
Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas, to my Internet grandmother! And may your new year be filled with joy.
Hi Ann:
Merry Christmas to you and Ray, and it's wonderful to hear you're both doing well. You'll have to update your sidebar pics of the girls soon.:)
We've been all over the weather map here. Barely 40 for a high a week ago, with nights in the teens. Sixties Christmas Day, tho.
Merry Christmas, though much belated. I think complex extended families are more confusing to people you're trying to explain it all to, than they are to those who live in them. :)
Dear Ann ~~ Lovely to see a post from you and to hear that both you and Ray are keeping well.
I hope you survived all that cooking
and that the girls came for dessert and presents. As you say, it's hard to believe they are all teenagers.
You gave them a wonderful start in life and I am sure they will always remember that. Take care, my dear friend. Happy New Year, Much Love, Merle.
Happy New Year,Ann, my dear friend!
May you be blessed with much happiness and many joys in 2009!
May the world be blessed with Peace & Justice in 2009!
Happy New Year to you and yours!
Happy New Year
I first heard Jessie Norman on her debut as a principal to an Australian Opera production in the early eighties, at the Opera house in Sydney Australia. It was exciting to hear this talented tall (that was how she seemed then) black singer with an extraordinary quality of voice, then virtually unknown. Best wishes
many blessings for this coming year Granny!!
I hope you had a good christmas!
wishing you all good things in 2009, granny-no-fiddle. Jessie! what a voice!
Dear Ann ~~ I wish you a wonderful
and very Happy Birthday. I hope you enjoy your special day. I do hope that you and Ray are both keeping well and that the girls visit you
regularly. Thinking og you, my friend. Love and Best wishes, Merle.
Hey Ann. I realized it's been awhile since you last updated. I hope everyone is in good health and the lack of updates means you're busy enjoying the company of family and friends :). (And just enjoying life in general.)
I noticed Merle mentioned your birthday was yesterday, so happy belated birthday :).
