When you're pulling your hair out at your PC

Forwarded to me by a friend a few minutes ago. They may all be mythical but they're still funny.

Here are 14 actual error messages reportedly seen on the computer screens in Japan, where some are written in Haiku.Aren't these better than "your computer has performed an illegal operation"?

The Web site you seek cannot be located, but countless more exist.>>>*

*>>>Chaos reigns within.>>>Reflect, repent, and reboot.>>>

Order shall return.>>>* *>>>Program aborting:>>>Close all that you have worked on.>>>You ask far too much.

>>>* *>>>Windows NT crashed.>>>I am the Blue Screen of Death.>>>No one hears your screams.>>>* *>>>

Yesterday it worked.>>>Today it is not working.>>>Software is like that.>>>* *>>>

Your file was so big.>>>It might be very useful.>>>But now it is gone.>>>*

*>>>Stay the patient course.>>>Of little worth is your ire.>>>The network is down.>>>* *>>>

A crash reduces your expensive>>>computer to a simple stone.>>>*

*>>>Three things are certain:>>>Death, taxes and lost data.>>>Guess which has occurred?>>>* *>>>

You step in the stream, but the water has moved on.>>>This page is not here.>>>* *>>>

Out of memory.>>>We wish to hold the whole sky,>>>But we never will.>>>* *>>>

Having been erased, the document>>>you're seeking must now be retyped.>>>* *>>>

Serious error.>>>All shortcuts have disappeared.>>>* *>>>

Screen......Mind..........>>>Both are blank.

This is how I feel several times a day.

I thought it was funny, whether real or fake. Gave me a much needed ha-ha.

Note to I said, it isn't always exact to profile races or generalize about them. My Japanese cousin-in-law is hilariously funny and a big jokester. We couldn't believe it when Bill first brought her to the States and we didn't know just how to take some of her witty remarks, especially in her garbled English. Now that her English is good, she is even funnier. I HOPE the report is true. I can imagine our Japanese counterparts raging in frustration and I empathize with them.

Hi, Insomniac. My husband and three children are Japanese -- actually the kids are dual citizens, and I`m now trying very hard to develop the American side of their personalities. I tend to generalize because I spent most of my adult life in Japan and it really is a very homogenous society and people really are socialized a certain way, but I`m glad to hear your cousin-in-law escaped the repressive culture that leads most (not all) people over there to keep their sense of humor well-hidden. But most Japanese don`t WANT to escape, so she`s already atypical in that respect!
