Another way to help

Nicole, of PBB and BB fame, just left us another way to help. Since the links don't come through as links on the comments, I'll enter it here. Check Nicole's comment on the Heifer Int'l entry for more info.

www.grid.org.

I haven't had a chance to check it out but I will. I hope we're building another small network here of ways to "make a difference".

Of PBB and BB fame? Hey, I'm *huge* in the Irish-language blogging community. Like Britney Spears. :)

Nicole, of course you are and you're becoming well known here as well.

Britney? What is it with Britney that I'm missing? I must be getting old because the fascination with her escapes me. I'm not even sure what she does except provide a stationery (stationary?) target. I should probably google her right now and while I'm at it double check on which homonym is correct. I'm pretty sure it's "ary" in this case - the other one is writing paper.

It's definitely stationary (immovable).

Britney was a Mouseketeer? The things we learn from Google. My girls are a little young to be part of the Britney craze and I'm certainly far too old.

My last contact with the Mouseketeers was Annette who was a heroine to me back in the day and my all time favorite. For that matter she still is.

granny, I loved your trek comments... we were in the US for the last voyager, and have pictures of the kids in front of the TV, watching that last episode... :))) it was aired a few months later here in the UK, so we felt pretty priviledged... I don't know if I spelled that correctly....

anyways,it's been on a UK satelite channel recently... I love the 7 or 9 years... kes never did much for me.

as for DS9, the last few years with the war are really good. but I only got into them via the family's VHS and DVD's. but Peter is an old Trekker from way back... well, he's about the same age as OST, but you know how reruns keep things in touch... :)))

prayer is a great thing... so that's what I give these situations... we had our Polish pastor over for lunch last week, and he had recently been to Israel. I asked him if he thought peace would ever come there, and he said an interesting thing. as a young man living in Communist Poland until the mid 1960's when he moved to the UK, he never imagined the Berlin Wall falling... or peace coming to South Africa... so I have to think anything is possible, even in this chaotic world... :)))))

glad Rebecca had a good b-day... :)))

enjoy your day... your T-day menu sounds yummy... I have mine on the fridge... need to start getting a bit more organized!

have a brilliant day!

PS... I didn't like enterprise due to the gratuitous, excessive violence. the DS9 war episodes were good, because the violence was in context of a multi-quadrant war. but enterprise seemed to be grasping for an identity, and they chose an over the top way of going for ratings...

was making tea, and forgot about enterprise! had to come back and add my thoughts, before I forgot them again... :))))

I think you're correct about Enterprise. I never could warm up to it although I liked the original premise.

I liked Next Generation very much -it was my favorite until Voyager came along. Ray's is Deep Space - over and over and over. He never tires of it. I didn't like it at first but somehow the reruns seem better than the first time around.

yeah, it's like something you can't shake... ha ha ha... I never watched ST as a kid... it's all Peter's doing...

oh, any and all prayers are most welcome! I'm not big on differentiating between denominations... your son is in mine, as are all of you as well...

she just sounded so... in need of prayer...

anyway, have a really beautiful day! talked with my mom last night and she said they might be getting some rain, how about you down there?. I know she's ready for it...

Rain was forecast for yesterday but didn't arrive. Now they're saying cloudy and mid 60's F.

We're considerably south of Chico - straight down Hwy 99. We don't get as cold (quite), usually not as wet, and we don't get snow.
