Home Schooling info

I don't home school (although sometimes it feels that way) but I have several visitors who do. I have nothing but admiration for their dedication and energy.

I spotted the link (click on title) in Blogging Baby today and include it here for any readers who might find it useful.

I have added your site to my "blogger friends" links on my site. I was looking at some old comments and realised I hadn't published a link for your site yet! Hope some traffic comes your way though my site!

Ann, you know that I think you homeschool - I think any person who takes an interest and helps their kid out with their education is homeschooling even if there is a bricks and mortar school involved.
Thanks for saying the nice things about us and passing on the link!

Wham I first heard about Home Schooling in the USA I imagined parents were reliant on their own resources.

From what I have subsequently learnt nothing could be further from the truth. They support one another and their network of centres of influence support every activity, as they visit museums, education institutes and pursue educational development work.
It seems to be more an independant alternative form of schooling. The name Home Schooling I think gives the a wrong inmpression.

At the time of this posting a welcome breeze filters through the window, providing respite from to- days top C+40C, with a dreaded C44+ is in store for tomorrow. I hear thunderstorms .....i hope we get some rain......bushfires at the moment '''aaah more breeze

Best wishes

Yeah, the old saw is "Homeschooling? It's nothing like school and we're rarely at home!" The second part isn't entirely true in our case, but certainly the first holds true.

Hi Ann,

I had looked into home schooling and had thought to do this with my daughter, but had decided against it for us.

I admire people that home school their children, it hard but rewarding work.
