Hmm...the same thing happened to me. I wonder if there was something wrong with the site...it could not possibly be us!

You do your best ever work, and the bloody thing gobbles it up, scoffs the lot and sods off, without so much as a "thank you for having me" or even a burp.

... and that is why I use Blogger for Word! I've been there on other blogs and it's absolutely no fun.
I do the same thing as Angela. I learned my lesson when firefox bugged out on me. Well, the second time.
