Stealing from Stephanie This Time (I have no shame)

Stephanie has a lovely spiritual (as opposed to religious) blog dedicated to Surviving the Workday. Since for many of us, our home is also our workplace, I borrowed her latest post to start our weekend off with a smile and a bit of hope.

Salutation to the Dawn

Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life.
In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth;
The glory of action;
The splendor of achievement;
For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision;
But today, well lived, makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness,
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

salutation of the dawn is a favorite of a very dear friend... i did it up in caligraphy for her once, as a birthday gift, many years ago. she still has it on her wall.

and it's good philosophy to follow. thanks for the reminder.
