What You've Always Wanted to Hear

Zay N. Smith - Chicago Sun-Times Quick Takes today April 18

Stress alert!

Today is National Stress Awareness Day. (anniversary of SF 1906 quake as well - Ann)

Which should make anyone at least a little uneasy

Thanks to all of you who have sent birthday greetings for tomorrow. No big secret - I'll be 68 (going on 15 some days and 90 on others).

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday on this the eve of your big day. It's okay to grow older, just not up. :)

Oh you deserve to growl about Ray and the craziness of it all! Hoping and praying he is home soon, I somehow imagine you have enough stress to celebrate it every day, not just today!

Happpy Birthday Ann, hope you were able to do at least one thing just for you.

Thank you for telling me about TTY, it sounds a great system for those who are profoundly deaf.

We have just invested in a speaker phone which means I don't actually have to pick the phone up and hold it to my ear, and I am able to turn the volume up. This is working very well at the moment.

My mother was almost totally deaf, and my sister is about the same, they both worked for all their working life in noisy workrooms, it's called industrial deafness.

I only worked for a couple of years in a noisy enviroment, so to date I am not nearly as deaf, but who knows how it will progress.

I must say, I worry about our young people with their headphones on, listening into their loud music.

This is turning into a post, so had better stop now, just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to care.

Hello Granny
Happy Birthday!! Or should I say Belated?
Age does not matter when you feel young at heart.
Lots of love and hugs and kisses

God Bless You
