Enhance Your Vocabulary

I was catching up on blogs when I stumbled across this one

Brenda has much to say about her home state of Arkansas. Since I lived there for 8 years, I could identify with most of it; especially when she began talking about purple hull peas and the joys of a skunk under the house.

Take a look at this post for additions to your vocabulary.

I'll be back. Still unbearably hot and still surviving.

Hi Ann,

I now know I'm AQUADEXTROUS (ak wa deks' trus) adj. Possessing the ability to turn the bathtub faucet on and off with your toes. I have been able to do that since I was a kid, mostly because I was too lazy to do it the regular way.

Stay cool.

Hello Ann ~~ Thanks for your comment. I hope the rashes are improving and the heat eases up for a while.
Take care, Merle.

Hi Granny

It should get cooler now. Well, at least until the next heatwave in a fortnight, hahhaha. Why don't you put yourself on John Lewis's waiting list for an aircon.

Granny, please visit my blog, I feel so lonely and pathetic on my own.

Thanks for coming by Granny and friends. Ya'll are welcome any time to come sit a spell.

We had some of that heat last week but this week it's been a tad cooler, thank goodness!

Granny, I don't use the word verification on my blog cause I have too many readers that grip about having to type those letters in. (grin)

I came, I went, I saw, I enjoyed, I commented and I came back.

Had a thought about how to make the heat more bearable: I saw an advert for this spray that cools you down. Can't remember what it's called, but it's some "wonder thing" that you spray gently over your face to releave yourself a little from the baking heat.

...Yeah, that's helpful. Sorry. I'll look it up and email you the name.

In the mean time, find a fan (steal one if you have to), barge everyone else (except the baby. That would be cruel. He can stay) out of the way and stand beneath/in front of it.

;-) xxx

And just in case anybody was wondering: I DO know how to spell 'relieve' (see?). I just apparently decided to spell it completely wrong the first time for the heck of it.

...I think I need to type a little slower...

Sorry for the heat. I think a nice long movie in a movie theater would be in order, don't you?
