Although I knew exactly what you were talking about, the phrast "swamp cooler" still sounds icky to me. :-)

I am sitting in my pizza oven all brick apartment coveting your swamp cooler right now...
ouch i feel your pain the last couple of days we have been having anywhere from 100-106 degree temp and there sayin it's just going toget worse ohhh joy.... like that list bout the car's and computers that was funny;)

And, I knew what you ment when you talked about a swamp cooler, lots of people here have those because Denver is actually pretty much a high desert, very dry here.
Glad you're staying cool, we finally got a cool front here tonight and we are enjoying a breeze with the windows open!!
