Here's One I Haven't Seen Before

You Are a Learning Cook

You've got the makings of an excellent cook, and the desire to be one.
But right now, you're just lacking the experience. You couldn't be a top chef yet, but you could be an apprentice.
Are You A Good Cook?

******************

Apprentice? I guess I'm hopeless.

Ann, I emailed you back off your comment. It didn't bounce back. Did you get it? My gmail has been letting me know I have comments, so I think that is working okay.

Hey... it said I am a learning cook too. Jeeze... we're are busy wives with kids to look after... what they want? Emeril LaGasse? I don't have enough time to get my food all "bammed up."

Tonight - because my family were here I did a casserole with lots of vegetables and good beef cooked in beer and stock. Even the picky eater demolished it and it was obviously a success. However I found the cutting up of the meat and endless vegetables was quite painful for my hands so I'm afraid now I am only an occasional good cook.

Hmmm,
I really don't think myself lacking in experience after all these years! Especially when I make nearly everything from scratch! Wonder just what they're looking for?
I'll have to let my husband know that he has an apprentice for a cook!

Hi "p". Thanks for the visit. It must have been the Rice-a-roni that did it.

Although admitting to a pantry full of rather dull staples such as rice and pasta probably didn't help.

Or admitting that people's reaction to my cooking is "comfortable". The kiss of death is to be compared to Home Buffet.

hehe. And wouldn't you know how much I love to cook? My youngest daughter has four names. Her first middle name is Nigella.

You're a top cook, but you weren't born that way. It's taken a lot of practice, a lot of experimenting, and a lot of learning.
It's likely that you have what it takes to be a top chef, should you have the desire..

I score the same as you did. I also consider my self a fair cook.

I am a creative cook. I guess my parents making me learn to cook when I was 7 helped. They got tired of making two meals since I was so picky. And I've uh.. had a few very memorable flops.

"Your cooking is unusual, inspired, and definitely one of a kind. People love your unique style, but you've had your share of kitchen flops.
You have the makings of a cult chef. You may not cook at the Four Seasons, but you could have your own little funky cafe in San Francisco!"

Hello Ann ~~ Thanks for your comments .
I used to always buy my grandkids water pistols, because our Christman is ehe
middle of Summer so water and pools etc are the go. Carlton lost AGAIN. maybe next year, we can only go up from here.
There were some strange questions in the quizz, had to guess a few answers, but
got a good cook. I am only average !!
Take care, Love, Merle.

I'm an "excellent cook." Much be that addiction to cooking programs on TV.

I'll have to take this quiz but it might say I'm almost good enough to use an easy bake oven.;) haahaahaa!

Thanks for your link today. So your dryer has balls. heeheehee!

The more I hear about them, the more I'm thinking of turning mine into a male too! :)

I already know what this is going to say about my cooking. "You hate to cook, so give it up before you kill someone."

Wow, I'm an excellent cook after years of practice and experimenting!! That would be right lol.

Fun quiz though.

Thank you for your kind thoughts about Oscar. He is getting there, slowly.

Hello Ann ~~ Thanks for your comments.
I liked your quote "If it don't fit, then get a bigger hammer." Good one.
I hope all is well at your house and that things go well for the girls this week. Take care, Hugs, Merle.

Hi Ann,

It said the same thing about me! Well I do use a lot of package food, and yes rice-a-roni too.

Learning cook too but I think lazy cook would be more apt.

You have a great blog. (Not boring, like mine. Hah)

Have a great day.

I Am A Learning Cook.

Ha!

Obviously the computer didn't register that I clicked on both "takeout" AND "Microwave" somewhere during the quiz...

Thanks for the mention, by the way. :-)

Learning cook here also. Mostly I cook just to survive and leave the fancy stuff to others. ec
