Sunday at the Lake

I changed the menu from macaroni salad to chicken and dressing (along with the drumsticks and the cobbler). It worked out fine except that I was up at 6 cooking. We were out there by around 10 and had a great time.

That's Ray with a new haircut and well enough to join us . Elcie stayed home and I brought her a plate. She still wasn't feeling too well and I want her to make it to school tomorrow.

The other pics are of Rebecca and Rochelle (to anyone new, Rochelle is the taller one in the leopard hat; Rebecca has the white cap). They were a big help with all the carrying, enjoyed the singing, and got their feet wet. We decided against swimming. I like having a younger adult along for that water. It would be different with a pool.

Just finished watching the Emmy's and realizing how little t.v. I actually watch. I'd never seen many of the shows that were nominated or won. A couple of them I hadn't even heard of or the actors for that matter.

It was nice to see the three original Charlie's Angels together though. All still looking good. They were part of a tribute to Aaron Spelling who died recently.

Thanks to all for the comments and the kind remarks about Jonathan. Yes, he really is an uncle to those who asked. His oldest sister is nineteen and has a little girl (toddler) older than he.

And now I'm going to try for sleep. Good night or good morning and take care.

What a great place for the church potluck. Glad to hear Ray is feeling a little better.

Very nice hat--isn't is a little warm for that? What girls will go through in the name of fashion!

The lake looks so pretty. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the day. I watched the Emmy's too and felt the same way. I didn't know anyone except Dick Clark and Charlies Angels.

Love the hat, but didn't she get hot? :-)

Sounds like a great time. You are more than welcome to mail one of your dinners to me anytime!

Hope Elcie is better today and went to school and it looks like you had a fun day at the lake with Rochelle & Rebecca and hubby. Enjoyed seeing the pictures and I suppose as usual, (like me) you're behind the camera taking the pictures.

I didn't even know the emmys were on TV. I quit watching TV in the summer months, that I wouldn't know what anyone was talking about. It's not by choice...there are just too many other things to do outside and at night there is blogging.

I missed the Emmy's myself...I do like to look at the Hollywood rags about who was the best and worse dressed and such though!
