My net has been down since Monday afternoon. Right now, I just picked up Rebecca from school - sore throat - and I'm at Tim's using a keyboard that is giving me fits. Please excuse typos - I'm not even going to try for edit.
I think I read all your comments so far and I'll get around to you when I'm back on line.
Tim and I are going back to my house and call Comcast. He understands all the plugs and wires. I don't.
Hugs and take care everyone.
Wednesday 1:30 p.m. I shouldn't automatically blame Comcast. It was the router and now I know how to disengage it. Of course that means the girls don't have the net at least for nw.
I'm back.

You have had more than your share of problems with Comcast. I saw them advertising some very tempting prices here, but I think not. We have a package from sbc that has been quite reliable..
hugs!
Good luck! I was not a happy camper without my computer. Even more so because I didn't have television, either...
gung hay fat choy to you too, dear lady. loved the list of good things about being over 50... though i'm only a few days over. i have this dream of cycling in california... heard about a friend's trip there, where they cycled round the wineries for tasting tours. sounds like great fun, and they have a van available to transport those who over indulge. bottoms up!
I hope Rebecca feels better soon. I am so tired struggling on this end will colds and sickness. Bad season for it I guess.
Even I am fed up with the problems you are having with your comcast service. It's sucks having no internet service. Even when we were moving before we transferred service to this house, I would go to the old place when everyone was asleep and use the computer there. I know I have a problem.
Comcast needs to either fix the problem once and for all or you need to change service providers. It's just not worth the frustration.
Sorry your having such bad luck. I don't know if you are interested in changing or not. We have cox cable and love it, don't know if you can get it in your area or not but it is worth the $$$. It is high speed and doesn't tie up my phone. First choice for dial up would be Earthlink I think you can get them for a little over 20 a month.I had them for years and had good luck.
Catching up with all your news here! Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear you're having internet problems again!! I would completely give up on the provider, that's ridiculous. Hopefully Rebecca will be feeling better soon! xox
How's the family doing?
I miss our email talks.

Granny! I have a sore throat right now too. Do you have any suggestions on how to get rid of it. It hurts when I swallow. Yuck is right :)
i know how you feel, i am LOST without my computer access. Time Warner has taken over we'll see how this pans out.
Hi Ann, ooooh, sore throat, not nice. Gargle some salt and warm water several times day. Brilliant for that awful scratchy throat feeling and it's a natural antiseptic.
Sounds like your service provider needs the flick...what's a router? I thought it was some sort of electrical carpentry tool!
Hope Rebecca feels better soon.
Take care
Hugs xoxo
Granny.. thanks for the comment.. hope puter stops giving you problems.. sore throat.. a lot of that going on everywhere I think.. hope she's feeling better.. the baby is so sweet!
I think about now I'd have my panties in a twist. You aren't having much luck with your provider or your router.Have you tried reseting it?
Unplug your router and leave off for about 15 seconds, then replug it.
I wish you luck Ann.
I hope becca's throat gets better, lots of warm salt water to gargle.
