Life in transition with Ray but without Rochelle, Rebecca, and Elcie. The blog title is taken from the girls' names but "roc" and "rebel" works for me too.

Ann, thank you. Canada is 140 years old tomorrow. Gosh, we're just a youngster compared to you guys...:-) Tomorrow night I'm going to watch the fireworks. They're going to be more than one place in the city, and if I go to the Cambie Bridge, I can see all three places.Cheers,Josie

Hi Ann,Hope all is well where you are. You're sweet to remember our good neighbor to the north!xo
Guess what? If all goes as planned, I will be in Sacrapimento the middle of July! Whoot! I will fill you in with exact dates as soon as I know, so we can plan a meet up.
Granny, with all due respect to the US of A, I think Canada is a more humane country, not all belligerent and ready to go to war at the drop of a hat. And they have a sensible health care system. A friend of mine now lives in Canada and he has had a heart attack. Recovery and treatment did not cause him to go bankrupt and lose his house as it might have done here, and such circumstances have actually ruined many many people in the Good Ol USA. Canada Rocks. You Rock too, Granny.
I forgot about Canada Day and I'm not quite hop, skip and jump to the Canadian border.
