And one week. I totally missed my Blogiversary. I was thinking I started in October 2005 but nope, my first official post was on September 24, 2005. I had two visitors; one was Jen C., a former writer for Parent Dish, who insisted I start a blog and set it up for me. She hasn't been "anonymous" for some time now and she's still up there on my sidebar as a co-administrator (along with several other people who have bailed me out everytime I painted myself into a corner). Hi and hugs to Angela, Andrea, Alice, and Tim.
Thanks as well to all my other visitors who have either emailed helpful hints or have stepped up and quietly fixed some of my glitches. Too many to name but you know who you are.
And to all of you who've supported me over the last couple of years. You've hung in with me through the good times and the not so good. This blog and yours have been lifelines for me.
I think my counter said 1,097 posts. Certainly not one a day but not too bad. I'm not obsessed with my stat counter but I checked just now and it's a little over 66,000. Wow!! I do look at it once in a while because I'm interested in the number of countries and a few other things. Of course many of those hits are from folks who are looking for something else. Still, I have many friends out there. I've met a few of you, I've spoken to others, and the rest? I feel as if I know every one.
Merle had a photo on her blog the other day. She and 3 of her blogging buddies had gotten together in Australia. I recognized all of them and, except for living in a different hemisphere, I would have fit right in.
Two months ago, I was thinking about calling it a day on the blog. So much of my writing was about the girls. What could I find to say now that they're living elsewhere? I changed my mind, at least for the time being. I probably won't be posting as often but I'll be here and I'll still be checking up on my friends who live in my computer.
Take care everyone.
P. S.
To Mary K. in Arkansas. Thanks for signing my guestbook. If you feel like it, drop me a comment or an email. I lived in Jonesboro for 8 years and I always perk up when I see a former neighbor and I'm a little curious about you.

Happy Anniversary!
Happy Blogoversary!
You started just a couple months before me :) Happy Blogiversary..
Glad you decided to stay with it even though I know times have been tough for you lately.
I think that blogging friends can be a tremendous support system in good times and in bad...
xo
Happy Blogiversary!
I'm glad you decided to stick with it. I would miss you!
Granny... Congratulations! I'm glad you share with us. Next week maybe very busy and stressful... remember we are with you! You are a very strong woman!
Congratulations Ann!
happy bloggerversary!!!!!!
congratulations on two years!!
Happy Blogiversary!!! ((((Granny))))
Love to you and Ray.
Happy Anniversary Ann, and for goodness sakes, don't ever give up!
This is a little personal, and a wee bit embarrassing, but as you know, we "met" on the Golden Girls. When my blog used to tie me in knots, and those knots transferred themselves into profanity laced posts, I used to go read the Golden Girls. Every post on there. For hours on end.
I thank you for being there; I thank you for being here, and most of all, I thank you for showing me there's almost always a different way of approaching things! Having you as a friend, has made my life better.
Happy anniversary, Ann.
I've been catching up on your posts now that I have time again. What are you and Ray going to have thrown at you next?
I think the pair of you are so stoic and just wonderful the way you cope. I sincerely hope that all goes well for you both once he is home and it sounds like you are going to have some good care assistance too.
A big hug to you.
PS, I've posted some photos from the wedding if you'd like to see them.
Happy Anniversary Ann! They reckon two years is the average length of a blog and I hope you will continue and enjoy it rather than feel it's another pressure. That's what I try to do and so far ( two years in January) it's worked. My trouble is the housework has lowered in priority. Ah well!
Dear Ann ~~ Happy second blogiversary
and Oh boy what has happened in those two years!! I sincerely hope you will stay with us, you are much admired and loved, so please don't leave us.
I hope things are going well with Ray and he will be home very soon.
Take care, my friend, Much love, Merle.
Two years, wow!
It does grow tiresome, but I'm glad you're hanging around for a while longer.
People have a tendency to simply disappear in the "blogosphere," and you never know what happened.
It kind of freaks me out.
Happy Blogiversary, Anne!
And, I am no longer a diabetic, I only had it when I was pregnant with Mr. P. Thus the injections and not medication. Perhaps Ray could look into controlling with meds rather than injections? The side effects might not be good for him, though.
Happy Blogiversary! I have totally missed mine. Keep on writing. Good luck with Ray when he gets home. Thinking of you.
Ann, first of all, Happy Blogiversary! Second of all, I am glad Ray is coming home and the shots? I have a few friends who have to take them and they say it is no big deal...you get used to it and maybe he won't have to take them for long... We had a diabetic kitty at the clinic several years ago and he took shots every day.. and we have a few dogs that are taking them now... not to say that Ray is a dog or cat.. ... but you get the idea! ;-) Hope you had a good day... Talk to you soon..
Happy Anniversary! It is now officially Oct, Nov is just around the corner! Yay!
