What Is It?

To all you horticulturists out there.

Before I tackle the egg dyeing photos, does anyone know what this is? It looks like some kind of lily and it's growing wild along the side of my house. Trust me, I didn't plant it - nothing lives that I plant.

It's pretty, whatever it is. Posted by Picasa

It`s a calla lily. They also come in different colors, but white ones grow all over the place here.

Perfect! Happy Easter!

Thanks L. I'm the world's worst on varieties of flowers. At least I knew it was a lily. As you say perfect for Easter.

You came in the back door, so you didn't see 'em, but we have the damn things invading all over the front of the house. They're poisonous too, I'm told.

I just planted some of those the other day. I don't believe the flowers are poisonous, but the rhizomes (the root, like a bulb, what it grows from) are.
