Life in transition with Ray but without Rochelle, Rebecca, and Elcie. The blog title is taken from the girls' names but "roc" and "rebel" works for me too.

darn it
plunked down on a slab of cake - not "slap". Why do I never see them until I've hit publish and it's too late?
I decided to open this blog to team members. No one would write comments, just call me or email me voicing their opinions. I think they echoed your sentiments about comment boxes being too small. If you want to be a member to post on the blog, let me know. The remark about not emailing me does not apply to you; you can email anytime.I know that some will continue phoning/emailing but I'd like them to POST their opinions, get a cross section of views. Lordy, Lordy, You make me miss the events and kids and etc. SO much, but I enjoy reading about them and enjoying the occasions vicariously. What a GREAT family. .

Okay, I liked "slap" of cake.
Made me think of the sound of it plunking on the plate.
Thought it was a regionalism kind of thing.
I liked "slap," too. Only certain kinds of cake can be "slapped," so it was a very desciptive word, I thought. Too bad you didn`t mean it....
